Description
Exelon 6 mg capsule include rivastigmine hydrogen tartrate, which is a cholinesterase inhibitor made by Novartis. It is used for the treatment of symptoms of mild to moderately severe memory impairment associated with Alzheimer’s disease or Parkinson’s disease dementia.
Mechanism of action: It binds with and inactivates acetyl EXELON 6MG CAPSULE IN PAKISTAN cholinesterase and butyryl cholinesterase.Enhancing Neuro transmission: Since it prevents the degradation of acetyl choline, it raises its levels within cholinergic synapses, enabling communication between neurons and reducing cognitive function decline for some time.
Dosage: Each capsule contains rivastigmine hydrogen tartrate equivalent to EXELON 6MGÂ of rivastigmine.Regimen: Generally administered orally two times a day (preferably with morning and evening meals).
Side effects: They include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, anorexia, weight loss, dizziness, headaches, tremors, and excessive sweating and fatigue.

Exelon (rivastigmine) is a kind of drug classified as a cholinesterase inhibitor, particularly an acetyl cholinesterase inhibitor.
This group of drugs functions by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for breaking down the neurotransmitter acetyl choline. Thus, it boosts the brain level of acetyl choline to help with symptoms of mild.
