Description

Enoxabid 400mg tablet is an oral antibiotic containing Enoxacin Sesquihydrate,

a fluoroquinolone used to treat various bacterial infections,

Main Uses: UTI, Prostatitis, and Uncomplicated Gonorrhea.
Other Uses: Respiratory tract infection, ENT infection, skin and soft tissue infection, abdominal cavity infection.
Mechanism of Action: Acts by inhibiting the bacterial enzyme DNA gyrase thus blocking DNA synthesis.

One hour before meal or 2 hours after meals.
Dietary Restriction: Do not take caffeine when on this drug.

Contraindication: Strictly contraindicated in pregnant females and in lactating mothers.
Common Adverse Effects: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, and insomnia.

Oflobid R Tablet is a combination of Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. The former works by inhibiting the division and repair of the bacterial cells, hence its death. On the other hand, Ornidazole works by killing the parasites and anaerobic bacteria that cause infections through DNA destruction.
