Visanne 2mg tablet

Visanne 2mg tablet is an oral prescription medication that contains an artificial progestogen hormone, dienogest, used mainly in the treatment of endometriosis.

Dienogest 2 mg per tablet.

Mode of Action: It decreases the production of Visanne 2mg tablet in pakistan estradiol in ovaries, thus reducing the levels of estrogens in the body. It helps in shrinking the endometrial-like tissues that grow outside the uterus and alleviates pelvic pain due to reduced inflammation.

No Birth Control Purpose: Visanne 2mg is not meant for use as a contraceptive drug. Patients who need to avoid pregnancy should opt for other forms of contraception rather than using hormonal contraceptives.

Recommended Dose: 1 Tablet orally once per day at the same time preferably with liquid if necessary.

Consistency: Tablets are taken continuously in the absence of pack breaks. New pack starts immediately after the consumption of the previous pack.

Pregnancy & Lactation: Should not be used during pregnancy or lactation period.

Circulatory and Vascular Disorders: Contraindicated in women with active venous thromboembolism, arterial or cardiovascular conditions, severe liver disease, and hormone dependent tumors.

Bone Mineral Density: Continuous use or use in adolescents (12-18 years) might lead to decreased bone mineral density.
