The contents of Darixo 50 mg are daridorexant which is a prescription drug used for the treatment of chronic insomnia in adults by inhibiting the wake-promoting signals in the brain.

Use in adults for the treatment of chronic insomnia (falling or staying asleep) that Darixo 50mg tablet in Pakistan affects functioning during the day.

Inhibits orexin-1 (OX1) and orexin-2 (OX2) receptors in the brain.

Decreases the brain’s drive for wakefulness compared to sedating the whole central nervous system like in older sedatives.

Helps in inducing the natural sleep stages and reduces morning hangover.

Dosage: Taken once daily at night before going to bed.
Sleep window: At least 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep time are needed.
Meal intake: Can be taken with or without food, however, eating large or fatty meals will delay its effect.

Contraindications: Not to be taken by people with narcolepsy.
Other sedative medications and alcohol: Do not take together as they increase the risk of excessive drowsiness and breathing problems.
