Yomesan 500 mg is a chewing anthelminthic tablet orally taken containing niclosamide to treat tapeworm infections in the gut.

Administration: Should be chewed or crushed and then swallowed with some water.Standard adult dosage for Beef / Pork / Fish Tapeworm: Usually one-time dosage of 2 grams (4 tablets) after breakfast.Dwarf Tapeworm Treatment: Multi-day regimen (eg, first day 2 grams followed by daily administration of the medication for the next 6 days).Dosage for Children: Depends on their age and body size.

Common side effects: Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, light-headedness and dizziness.Avoid alcohol during therapy because it increases drug absorption hence increasing the risks of side effects.Vital Information: It does not eliminate tapeworm eggs; therefore, extra precaution must be taken in Taenia sodium infection.
